Our fundraising event is well underway and we are off to a great start. As previously mentioned, we have created the Honeywell Public Golf Course Foundations, Inc. and our application to become a non-profit, 501(c)3 entity has been submitted. This process takes 3-6 months to complete and we have no guarantee the non-profit status will be granted. Our goal from this was to make it easier to donate to the golf course and also make it beneficial for the donor (taxes).
Due to this lengthy application process, we have determined the best two methods to make your donation.
- Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) from an IRA or Qualified Retirement Plan do qualify and the check distributed must be made payable to “City of Wabash”. The memo line on the check should read “Honeywell Golf Course Agency”. The address for the City of Wabash is 202 S Wabash St., Wabash, IN 46992.
- Any checks already given to the golf course or any future, personal checks can be considered a tax deductible, charitable donation and a receipt will be returned to those individuals to use when filing your taxes the following spring.
As we strive to make Honeywell Golf Course better, we thank you for your patience during this process and thank you for continued support.
